At the Pyramid, we believe that all aspects of the individual, body, mind and spirit contributes to a balance lifestyle. We believe healthy eating and physical fitness are the foundation pieces for creating this “Pyramid of Health & Wellness”.  Our fitness and yoga classes help you get in touch with your body and builds the strength and confidence of the overall individual. You will find effective, safe, fun and motivational classes to meet a variety of fitness levels at an affordable price. Our instructors are all caring professionals here to help you become the best you can be. Our environment is comfortable and down to earth and we welcome all levels of experience from beginners to advanced. All our classes are held in our spacious third floor ballroom studio located at 120 Merchants Row in downtown Rutland Vt. PIYO

Piyo combines the muscle-sculpting, core firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility of yoga. Piyo delivers a fat burning low impact workout and uses dynamic flowing sequences that can burn serious calories at the salt time as they lengthen and tone your muscles and increase flexibility. Piyo minimizes the aches and pains that can come along with high impact workouts. This is a fairly intense class but can be modified for all levels.

 

BLENDED

Blended is a combination class featuring roughly half fitness and half yoga. During the fitness portion, participants may experience a wide variety of cardio and strength training activities, including interval training, kickboxing, yogaerobics, cardio dance, step aerobics, cardio drumming, circuit training, weights and more. The second half of class features yoga postures, stretching, breathing, and guided meditation to bring balance to one’s wellness routine. Every class is different and suitable for all fitness levels from beginners to more advanced participants.

 

JUMP START

Start your week right with this popular Sunday morning fitness combo featuring intervals, jump rope, kickboxing, step, core, and strength. This class is sure to get your heart rate up and challenge every fitness level participant - from beginner to advanced. Although it’s tough, it is easily modifiable for all fitness levels. Whatever your fitness goals, this class is a great way to “jump start” your progress.

 

CARDIO KICKBOXING

Cardio kickboxing at the Pyramid is a fitness-oriented version of traditional boxing, kickboxing and martial arts training. In this class, you will learn proper form for punches, kicks, blocks and calisthenics. The moves are put together in easy to follow combinations. With up-beat music and your choice of high or low impact options, this class is suitable for all levels of fitness and is an amazing total body workout.

 

STEP AEROBICS

This class is a form of aerobic exercise, using a routine of stepping up and down on an elevated platform with a lively and fun routine. Step heights can be varied for beginners to more advanced levels.

KRIPALU YOGA

Kripalu yoga is about compassion, taking the time to connect to your body and accepting your body as a teacher. Kripalu Yoga is an interplay of body, mind and energy. This is a gentle to moderate class that includes centering, breath work, meditation and relaxation. This class is suitable for beginners as well as more advanced levels.

GUIDED MEDITATION

Go on an inward journey using a variety of guided meditations meant for deep relaxation and inner connection. Allow yourself to quiet the mind, be still and experience the peace as you relax in the soothing environment of the Salt Cave. The sessions will be pre-recorded and occasionally there will be live guided meditations. Live meditations will be listed on the Facebook page when they are scheduled.
